SEN Learning Support Assistant – Girls' Autism School

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialised girls‑only school in Bar Hill that supports pupils with autism and related learning differences. You will work closely with students on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis, helping them achieve academic progress and improve social and emotional wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to pupils with autism, either individually or in small groups.
• Promote progress in academic subjects as well as social and emotional development.
• Assist with off‑site activities and school trips, ensuring safety and inclusion.
• Motivate and encourage pupils throughout the school day.
• Work full‑time during term dates, including designated training days.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and a creative, enthusiastic approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
• Confidence supporting children on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis.
• Enhanced DBS check (can be provided).
