SEN Learning Support Assistant – Girls Only Autism School

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist girls‑only school that supports pupils with autism and related learning differences. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a direct impact on children’s academic progress and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils across primary and secondary phases.
- Promote academic achievement while fostering social and emotional development.
- Assist with off‑site activities, school trips and extracurricular events.
- Motivate and encourage pupils, adapting approaches to individual needs.
- Participate in term‑time training days and ongoing professional development.
Required profile
- Previous experience working within an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Enthusiastic, creative and able to support children individually and in groups.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (can be provided).
