SEN Learning Support Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant for a specialist girls‑only school that supports pupils with autism and mild learning difficulties. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a direct, positive impact on children’s academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils during lessons.
• Promote progress in academic, social and emotional areas.
• Assist with off‑site activities and school trips.
• Motivate and encourage pupils throughout the school day.
• Participate in training days and school term‑time duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and a creative, enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Confidence supporting children in one‑to‑one and small‑group contexts.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (provided if needed).
