About the role
Academics is looking for enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants to join specialist schools in Lewes. You will work directly with children who have autism, speech and language needs, complex needs, and SEMH challenges, helping them thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and classroom support to pupils.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and learning materials.
- Support emotional wellbeing and personal development.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
Required profile
- Experience in education, care or support work.
- Genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
- Patience, resilience and enthusiasm.
- Flexible and proactive attitude.
