SEN Maths Teacher – Small Group Provision (Sittingbourne)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to work with 11‑16‑year‑old students with Autism and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a small‑group setting. You will deliver engaging, low‑ability maths lessons that build confidence, independence and essential life skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach maths lessons to small groups of students with additional needs.
• Adapt content to ensure accessibility and engagement for low‑ability learners.
• Support students in developing confidence, independence and key life‑skill competencies.
• Maintain a nurturing, calm classroom environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people with Autism and other additional needs.
• Ability to teach low‑ability maths in an engaging manner.
• Calm, resilient and nurturing approach.
• Strong relationship‑building skills.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) not essential – relevant SEN experience welcomed.
