About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to work in a specialist setting in Southwark, supporting pupils aged 4‑11 with a range of complex special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Teach small classes and deliver a highly differentiated curriculum tailored to autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and related communication needs.
- Plan engaging lessons and adapt learning to meet each pupil’s EHCP outcomes.
- Promote independence and life‑skills development while creating a structured, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to ensure holistic support for each pupil.
Required profile
- Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS, available for full‑time employment.
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN; experience with autism, SLD, PMLD or other complex needs is desirable.
- Ability to commute to Southwark and start immediately.
