SEN / SEND Tutor – Flexible Teaching Role

About the role
Join Targeted Provision as a SEN/SEND Tutor, delivering Maths, English or Science tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs across South East England. You will work flexibly – in‑person, online or a hybrid mix – helping vulnerable learners achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored tutoring sessions for KS1‑KS5 pupils with a range of additional educational needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to a trauma‑informed approach, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with schools, local authorities and the SEND Support Team to monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate records, safeguarding documentation and attendance logs.
- Participate in CPD activities and mentoring programmes.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD learners.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Enhanced DBS clearance (can be facilitated) and two professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Required skills
- Familiarity with the TES CPD suite for professional development.
