About the role
We are partnering with schools in the Bristol area to provide dedicated SEN Support on a temporary, full‑time basis. The role involves working closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils with additional needs receive tailored assistance throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individualized strategies.
- Help children maintain focus during lessons and participate fully.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
- Monitor, record and report on pupil progress.
Required profile
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
- A calm, patient and supportive approach.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working with SEN, either school‑based or in another setting.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new environments.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
Required skills
- Effective communication with pupils, teachers and parents.
- Ability to organise and manage small‑group activities.
