SEN Support Worker – Secondary Education (Full‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a supportive secondary school in Taunton. This full‑time position involves working directly with young people who have special educational needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance.
• Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Promote inclusion, emotional wellbeing, and positive social interaction.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN in school or similar settings.
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the UK.
