SEN Teacher – Alternative Provision (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our Alternative Provision team in Cambridgeshire. You will plan and deliver 1:1 and small‑group academic and therapeutic sessions for pupils who face barriers to mainstream education due to SEN, SEMH, medical needs, or transitional circumstances.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver tailored educational and therapeutic lessons.
• Monitor and record individual progress to inform future planning.
• Build respectful, supportive relationships with pupils, recognising their cultural identity.
• Collaborate with schools, parents, carers and multi‑agency partners.
• Act as key worker/lead tutor for a small group, overseeing pastoral welfare.
• Participate in meetings, professional development and stay updated on educational regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering tailored programmes for students with SEN, SEMH or similar needs.
• Ability to evaluate and adapt sessions based on student outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• Experience creating and assessing therapeutic educational sessions.
