SEN Teacher and Teaching Assistant (Supply, Long‑Term & Permanent)

About the role

Mana Education is recruiting qualified SEN Teachers and SEN Teaching Assistants for a variety of placements across Peterborough. Roles include daily supply, short‑term, long‑term and permanent contracts in special schools, alternative provision, PRU and mainstream SEN units.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons for pupils with SEND, including autism, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, MLD, SLCN, ADHD and complex needs.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, adapting resources to individual learning profiles.
• Manage behaviour using positive strategies and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents and external agencies to monitor progress.
• Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assessment records.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK experience in SEN settings.
• Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Strong behaviour management and communication abilities.
• Passion for making a positive impact on young people with additional needs.
