SEN Teacher – ASD Specialist (Primary & Secondary)

About the role
Remedy Education is partnering with specialist SEN schools in Tower Hamlets and Newham to recruit experienced SEN Teachers for primary and secondary settings. The positions start in September and focus on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) provision, supporting pupils with communication, sensory, and learning needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated, creative lessons tailored to a range of abilities.
- Support pupils with autism, communication challenges, sensory needs and associated behaviours.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists and wider support staff.
- Maintain a calm, structured and positive classroom environment.
- Contribute to whole‑school safeguarding and behaviour management strategies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong SEN teaching experience.
- Proven experience working with pupils on the autism spectrum and complex needs.
- Ability to teach across different year groups and ability levels.
- Strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management.
- Flexible, patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
