SEN Teacher – Autism Focus

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher with a focus on Autism to join our supportive school in Havering, London. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time and permanent, working with children in Key Stage 1.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored SEN education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide training and support for both students and staff.
- Support academic and social development, ensuring each child can thrive.
- Provide targeted education and training that empowers pupils to achieve personal goals.
- Work closely with parents and carers to secure the best outcomes for each child.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, though experienced unqualified teachers are welcome.
- Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and its impact on learning.
- Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality SEN education in a classroom setting.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1 or EYFS.

- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet individual needs.
