SEN Teacher (Autism Support)

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and creative SEN Teacher to join a supportive team in Leatherhead. You will work with students aged 11‑16 who have Autism Spectrum Condition, delivering a personalised learning experience.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a differentiated curriculum that meets educational, physical and social needs.
- Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team, maintaining strong communication with staff, parents and external professionals.
- Set, monitor and review personalised targets, reporting progress in line with statutory requirements.
- Design structured, motivating lessons and reflect on outcomes to improve practice.
- Contribute to Statements, EHCPs, PEPs and LAC meetings.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of autism best practice through professional development.
- Support curriculum development and model high professional standards.
- Manage delegated budgets responsibly and address challenging behaviour using school policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience working in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
- Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to a wide range of needs.
- Capability to teach across a range of subjects.

- Salary range £34,398 – £48,913 per annum.
