SEN Teacher for Year 5/6 – Milton Keynes

About the role
We are recruiting a SEN Teacher for a Year 5/6 class at a specialist primary school in Milton Keynes. The role runs from 13 July until the October half‑term and offers a full‑time, classroom‑based position supporting pupils with autism, speech and language needs and sensory‑processing challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess differentiated lessons for Year 5/6 pupils.
- Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of children with autism, speech‑language and sensory‑processing difficulties.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and produce regular reports.
- Manage behaviour positively, creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and parents/carers.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching in a primary setting.
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and behaviour‑management abilities.
- Previous SEN experience is desirable but not mandatory.
