SEN Teacher – Full‑Time – September Start in West Sussex

About the role

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in West Sussex for a full‑time SEN Teacher starting in September. You will support primary‑aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, delivering personalised lessons in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, families and external professionals to coordinate support.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt strategies to ensure academic and personal development.
• Maintain effective classroom management and uphold inclusive practices.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching primary‑aged children, preferably in an SEN or inclusive setting.
• Strong understanding of a range of Special Educational Needs and appropriate interventions.
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom‑management skills.
• Positive, patient, adaptable attitude with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
