SEN Teacher – Immediate Start in Middlesbrough

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join specialist schools and Pupil Referral Units across Teesside. The role starts immediately and focuses on creating calm, consistent, and engaging learning environments for pupils with a range of additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead learning in a specialist setting, supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Autism or PMLD.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and pace.
• Manage behaviour using a calm, consistent approach.
• Collaborate closely with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised SEN teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a SEN school or PRU setting.
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Calm, resilient and adaptable teaching style.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential) and references ready for clearance.
