SEN Teacher – Immediate Start in Redcar

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher to join a specialist setting in Redcar. The role offers an immediate start and the chance to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, routine and progress at their own pace.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons for pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Autism or PMLD.
- Adapt curriculum and resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Manage behaviour using a calm, consistent approach.
- Collaborate closely with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised SEN teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching in a SEN school or Pupil Referral Unit.
- Confidence working with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential) and references ready for clearance.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and statutory frameworks.
