SEN Teacher (KS2) – Dagenham – Long-Term Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to lead a small KS2 class of six pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties in a supportive Dagenham school. You will work alongside two dedicated Learning Support Assistants, delivering a sensory‑based curriculum focused on communication, independence and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SLD.
• Implement a sensory‑rich curriculum that promotes communication and social skills.
• Collaborate closely with two Learning Support Assistants to provide consistent, individualized support.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, producing regular reports for parents and leadership.
• Contribute to the school’s inclusive culture and share best practices with the team.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, ASD and/or SLD.
• Nurturing, creative approach to learning.
• Passion for helping every child reach their potential.
