About the role
We are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to deliver Key Stage 3 lessons for a small group of six students with ASC, SLD and PMLD in Havering. The school educates children aged 11‑19 with special needs, offers excellent career progression and benefits from strong transport links. The role is long‑term with the potential to become permanent and includes a SEN allowance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a broad curriculum across multiple subjects, focusing on work‑life skills and personal development.
- Maintain continuous assessment records and track each pupil’s progress.
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies to create a supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching children with ASD, SLD or PMLD in a similar setting.
- Demonstrated ability to design stimulating lessons that meet complex needs.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
