About the role
We are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join an outstanding special school in North West London. The school caters for pupils aged 11‑16 with profound and multiple learning difficulties and has been rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a multi‑sensory curriculum tailored to pupils with significant cognitive development issues.
- Manage a class of 6‑8 pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, supported by teaching assistants.
- Collaborate with the Head of Pathway, senior leadership team and specialist therapy team to monitor progress.
- Contribute to the school’s SEND research initiatives and share best practice.
- Participate in staff development, CPD and the school’s career progression pathways.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Passion for special educational needs and a creative, inspirational teaching approach.
- Experience or strong interest in working with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and curriculum frameworks.
- Ability to design and implement multi‑sensory learning activities.
- Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
