About the role
We are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in the London Borough of Westminster. The role focuses on delivering highly personalised lessons for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and supporting their communication, independence and engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons for a class of SLD students (ages 5‑19).
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and parents to monitor progress.
- Adapt resources and strategies to meet complex needs and promote inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual education plans.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Proven experience teaching students with severe learning difficulties or complex needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of SEN pedagogy and SLD strategies.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and use multi‑sensory approaches.
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families.
