SEN Teacher – Thanet & Surrounding Areas (Full‑time/Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) teachers to join schools in Thanet and surrounding areas of Kent. The positions are available on a full‑time or temporary basis, offering the chance to support pupils with autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN pupils.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom that promotes academic and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and multidisciplinary staff to implement individual learning plans.
• Assess pupil progress regularly and adapt strategies as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external professionals.
• Uphold safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching primary‑aged pupils with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH or complex needs.
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and legal right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions for primary learners.
