SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Reception Support (Full‑Time)

About the role
This full‑time position starts on 7 September and runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am‑3:25 pm, in a supportive primary school in Preston. You will provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to a Reception pupil, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to enhance the child's learning and social development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one support for a Reception pupil throughout the school day.
- Facilitate the child's learning, communication and social interaction.
- Assist the pupil in accessing classroom activities and daily routines.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to plan and implement support strategies.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Patient, nurturing and proactive attitude towards young children.
- Previous experience working with SEN or EYFS pupils is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
