About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a student aged 11‑16 with special educational needs in Southall. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm, across school and community settings.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to the assigned student, fostering trust and consistency.
- Support emotional regulation and manage behaviour using positive strategies.
- Encourage engagement in learning activities and promote personal development.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor, both in school and in community environments such as youth centres, libraries, and the child’s home.
Required profile
- Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
- Passionate about supporting young people with SEN.
- Comfortable working as a behaviour mentor across varied settings.
- Committed to making a long‑term positive impact.
