SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for Year 5 (West London)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ADHD in a West London primary school rated “Good” by Ofsted. The role is full‑time during term time and offers the chance to work closely with classroom staff to promote inclusive learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to the designated Year 5 student, supporting academic tasks and behaviour management.
• Assist the class teacher with general classroom duties and inclusive strategies.
• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, sharing observations with senior staff.
• Implement behaviour management techniques and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff training and professional development sessions offered by the school.

Required profile

• Minimum one year experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
