SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support in Primary School

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with autism and ADHD in a vibrant primary school in Highgate, London. The role starts as soon as possible and runs on a full‑time, fixed‑term basis until July 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with identified Special Educational Needs (SEN) in KS1 and KS2 classrooms.
- Assist children in accessing learning materials and participating fully in lessons.
- Help regulate emotions and promote positive peer interactions.
- Deliver specialist intervention sessions and use visual tools such as timetables and now/next boards.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with autism and ADHD.
- Ability to use visual aids to structure sessions.
- Calm, clear communication style.
- Confident behaviour management and boundary setting.
