SEN Teaching Assistant – ASAP Start in Tower Hamlets

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive school in Tower Hamlets. You will provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised learning support to students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or Moderate Learning Difficulties.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Support positive behaviour throughout the school day and assist with classroom management.
• Monitor student progress and help achieve individual targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an SEN or mainstream school setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
• Ability to work effectively with teachers, SENCO and other support staff.
• Positive behaviour management training (e.g., Team Teach) is beneficial but not essential.
