About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Headington, Oxford. The role focuses on supporting pupils aged 8‑19 with Autism Spectrum Condition and severe learning difficulties, helping them achieve academic and personal goals. The position starts in September 2026 and offers a full‑time, long‑term commitment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers and therapists in delivering tailored lessons and activities.
- Support pupils in accessing classroom learning and developing communication, social and life‑skills.
- Provide personal care when required, ensuring safety and dignity.
- Monitor progress and help set individual education plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to create a structured, autism‑friendly environment.
