SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism) – Full-Time – September Start

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and severe learning difficulties in a specialist school in Headington, Oxford. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a full‑time, long‑term position within a supportive, structured environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist pupils in accessing classroom learning and developing communication and social skills.
- Provide personal care and emotional support as needed.
- Help students build confidence, independence and achieve individual education goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
- Patient, empathetic, resilient and a strong communicator.
- Team‑player able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a specialist education setting.
