SEN Teaching Assistant – Brentwood

About the role

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Brentwood, starting in September. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and looking to develop their career within a nurturing environment that offers strong support, training and ongoing professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide SEN support within the classroom and on a 1:1 or small‑group basis.
• Manage behaviour and help pupils overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school setting (placements accepted).
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs (desirable).
• Relevant TA, SEN or childcare qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
