SEN Teaching Assistant – Daily Rate £95-£115

About the role

This position is based in a specialist school in East Sussex, offering a daily rate of £95‑£115. You will work closely with children who have a wide range of special educational needs, gaining valuable experience in a supportive, development‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, SLD, PMLD and emotional‑behavioural needs.
• Facilitate academic and personal growth through tailored activities and guidance.
• Participate in a paid trial period to demonstrate capability.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Deliver personal care and support as required, ensuring each child's wellbeing.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for special education and a flexible, proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Resilience and a strong drive to exceed expectations for children of all needs.
• Background in education, care or psychology is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn non‑verbal communication methods such as Makaton or PECS.
