SEN Teaching Assistant – Day-to-Day & Permanent Roles

About the role

The Supply Register Ltd, in partnership with Leigh Academies Trust, is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across secondary schools in Kent. You will work on a flexible basis, from day‑to‑day supply to long‑term or permanent placements, helping children with special educational needs achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and a range of additional learning needs.
• Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning activities and interventions.
• Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and engagement.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to achieve their individual learning and personal development goals.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a UK school setting.
• Experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Patient, proactive and caring approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.
