SEN Teaching Assistant – East London (Waltham Forest)

About the role
Reeson Education is seeking compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across East London, particularly in the borough of Waltham Forest. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Facilitate small intervention groups targeting specific learning goals.
- Assist children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
- Support the class teacher and SENCO in delivering inclusive lessons.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
- Caring, patient and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of behaviour management and SEN strategies.
- Genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their potential.
