SEN Teaching Assistant – Enfield (Long‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Enfield. The role starts in September and is a long‑term, full‑time position supporting students with Special Educational Needs across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑class and small‑group support to pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, moderate learning difficulties, SEMH and other SEND requirements.
• Deliver targeted interventions and promote student engagement and independence.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to plan and implement personalised support.
• Monitor progress and contribute to individual education plans.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
• Patient, proactive, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
