SEN Teaching Assistant – Flexible Opportunities Across Kent

About the role

The Supply Register Ltd is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide flexible, supply‑based support across schools in Kent. You will work in both specialist SEN schools and mainstream primary and secondary settings, helping pupils with special educational needs achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEN in one‑to‑one or small‑group settings.
• Assist class teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence among learners.
• Build supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families where appropriate.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments while maintaining professionalism.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• Previous work within a UK school environment.
• Patient, caring, and adaptable attitude.
• Strong communication and behaviour management abilities.
• Passion for helping children overcome learning barriers.
