SEN Teaching Assistant for Psychology Graduates

About the role
Kickstart your career in psychology with a role that goes beyond a typical teaching assistant. You will work in a specialist school alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals, supporting children and young people aged 6‑19 with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH.
Key responsibilities
- Support students in the classroom and throughout the school day.
- Deliver tailored one‑to‑one and small‑group support.
- Encourage communication, emotional wellbeing and independence.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Provide personal care where required.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Considering a career in psychology, therapy, education or mental health.
- Patient, resilient and eager to learn.
- Strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
- Essential: GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
