SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Term Time Only)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a newly established specialist school in Wilmslow. The school supports up to 50 pupils aged 5‑19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions and related needs, providing a calm and structured environment. This full‑time, term‑time only position offers the chance to make a real difference in pupils' lives.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities and care needs throughout the school day.
• Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Adapt support to a range of needs with patience and flexibility.

Required profile

• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 3 or above).
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, paid or voluntary.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Desirable: Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning.
• Desirable: Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD.
• Desirable: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• Salary £22,996 – £25,068 per year, inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
