SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time, Basildon (Day Rate £90‑£110)

About the role

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Basildon, starting in September. This role offers the chance to support children with Special Educational Needs while developing your career in a nurturing environment with strong training and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group SEN support within the classroom.
• Assist with behaviour management and help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school setting (placements accepted).
• Experience with pupils who have ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs (desirable).
• Relevant TA, SEN or childcare qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Two professional child‑related references.
