SEN Teaching Assistant (Full‑time) – Bristol

About the role
This full‑time position supports children with special educational needs in a welcoming primary school in Bristol. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their academic, social and emotional potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance for pupils with SEN.
- Support children with learning, communication, confidence and independence.
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons.
- Work with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and other needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers and other support staff.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
- Patient, compassionate and understanding attitude.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Positive, adaptable approach and passion for making a difference.
