SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bristol. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils with special educational needs achieve their full potential in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist children with learning, communication, confidence and independence.
• Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
• Work with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers and other support staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Patient, compassionate and understanding attitude.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Positive, adaptable approach and passion for making a difference.
• Relevant qualifications or training for the role.
