SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time Graduate Role in Harrow

About the role

We are looking for a motivated graduate to join our outstanding secondary school in Harrow as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. The role starts in September and offers full‑time, on‑site experience supporting pupils with diverse learning needs while you prepare for teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small‑group and whole‑class support to SEN students during lessons.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to deliver targeted intervention sessions.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitor student progress and give regular feedback to teaching staff.
• Encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in any subject (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, PE, Computer Science).
• Enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate about supporting young people.
• Committed to pursuing teacher training (PGCE, Schools Direct, apprenticeship).
• Available to start in September on a full‑time basis.
