SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Victoria, Central London. The role runs from September 2026 to July 2027 on a full‑time basis, supporting pupils with special educational needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions for pupils with SEN and complex needs.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to plan and implement support strategies.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, promoting engagement, wellbeing and academic development.
• Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of how to support pupils with additional needs.
• Positive, patient and adaptable attitude.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Genuine passion for helping children with SEN thrive.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SEN policies and practices.
• Experience delivering interventions for KS1 and KS2 pupils.
