SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Sep 2026)

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a caring and resilient SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Greenwich from September 2026. You will provide practical and emotional support to pupils with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers and reach their potential.

Key responsibilities

• Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Helping children manage emotions, behaviour and social situations.
• Encouraging positive engagement with learning and supporting individual strategies.
• Working closely with teachers and support staff to create a calm, inclusive classroom.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children in a school or educational setting.
• Interest in SEN, SEMH, behaviour or pastoral support.
• Patience, emotional resilience and ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Strong rapport‑building skills with pupils and ability to work one‑to‑one and in small groups.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £100‑£117, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time contract from September 2026 to July 2027 (academic year).
