SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Sept‑Dec 2026)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Bedford school from September to December 2026. The role supports pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH difficulties, helping them thrive academically and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support in classroom settings.
• Assist with behaviour management and positive behaviour strategies.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and encourage engagement in learning activities.
• Support emotional regulation, resilience and social interaction skills.
• Monitor pupil progress and give feedback to teachers and support staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Previous roles such as Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Support Worker or SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Calm, patient, adaptable and able to remain resilient in challenging situations.
• Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students and a proactive attitude.
