SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑Time (Temp‑to‑Perm)

About the role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Meldreth for a September 2026 start. This temporary‑to‑permanent position offers the chance to support children with additional needs in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.
• Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
• Encourage confidence, communication and independence.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor pupil progress and celebrate achievements.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people in education, care or similar settings.
• Patient, compassionate and resilient approach.
• Understanding of SEN, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK.
