About the role
Join a welcoming school in Plymouth as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children with additional learning needs during term time. This full‑time, temporary position offers the chance to make a real difference in pupils' academic and personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEND.
- Assist children with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to help pupils achieve their goals.
Required profile
- Compassionate, nurturing and patient.
- Confident in building relationships with children.
- Resilient and passionate about helping young people succeed.
- Experience in childcare, teaching assistance, care/support work, mental health support, youth work, or family support.
