SEN Teaching Assistant – Graduate Role in Harrow

About the role
This full‑time graduate position is based in an outstanding secondary school in Harrow. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will gain hands‑on classroom experience while supporting students with special educational needs and preparing for teacher training.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1, small‑group and whole‑class support to SEN students during lessons.
- Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver targeted intervention sessions.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Monitor student progress and give regular feedback to teaching staff.
- Encourage confidence, independence and engagement among learners.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a degree in any subject (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, PE, Computer Science, etc.).
- Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about supporting young people.
- Commitment to pursuing a teaching qualification (PGCE, Schools Direct, apprenticeship).
