SEN Teaching Assistant in Bedford

About the role

Tick Education is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a welcoming school environment in Bedford. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to help pupils achieve their academic and social potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist in delivering personalised learning plans.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil engagement.
• Support students with classroom activities and daily routines.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational or SEN setting.
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
