About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant special‑needs school in Islington. The role is full‑time, term‑time only, and involves providing both whole‑class cover and one‑to‑one learning support.
Key responsibilities
- Support learning activities across the school, including whole‑class cover when required.
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation and assessment tasks.
- Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils make progress.
- Work closely with children of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.
- Provide one‑to‑one support to students as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 year experience supporting students with SEN.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Confidence in leading small groups.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and ability to work collaboratively.
